Flower, Fruit and Seed

This ongoing concept that carries through my jewelry stems from my close relationship with my mother and my grandmother, and the traits and similarities that have been passed along through the generations. I also pay homage to the developmental transformations that occur at different times in all women’s lives. The metaphor is the Flower, Fruit and Seed. Flower= the pre-pubescent girl; Fruit= child bearing woman; Seed= post-menopausal. And the cycle repeats itself… Carl Jung talks about the collective unconscious, where we see the reoccurrence of pre-existent forms as archetypes.
